About the Client

Homelea Lass emerged during a difficult period in Lynda Rennick’s life and it has grown and blossomed with her. No longer just a personal blog, it has become an online space where she can inspire other women to create happiness amid life’s stress and busyness. Unfortunately, the free blog she had on WordPress.com was restricting the expansion of this space. In order to achieve her goals, Lynda needed a clearly defined brand and a more powerful CMS.

About the project

Homelea Lass emerged during a difficult period in Lynda Rennick’s life and it has grown and blossomed with her. No longer just a personal blog, it has become an online space where she can inspire other women to create happiness amid life’s stress and busyness. Unfortunately, the free blog she had on WordPress.com was restricting the expansion of this space. In order to achieve her goals, Lynda needed a clearly defined brand and a more powerful CMS.

We worked with the talented Julia Jacque to redesign Lynda’s brand and make sure it presented a consistent image across all platforms, including mobile devices, business cards and swing tags. The clear lines and light colours provide a warm and inviting feel to the website, just as if you were wrapped in one of Lynda’s handcrafted crochet blankets. The logo resembles a signature, emphasising Lynda’s unique style and character.

With the new website Lynda wanted to make her followers feel peaceful, happy and centered, yet inspire them towards creative action to express themselves and improve their lives. She is able to do this through delicate, thoughtful design, magazine-quality articles and images (well-organised by categories and tags), social media integration and newsletter sign-up boxes.

More than creating, Lynda loves helping others and it was important to her to be able to use the new website to connect easily with her community, whether by responding to enquiries, accepting collaboration requests from other brands or spreading the news about charitable opportunities.

Lastly, we installed WooCommerce for Lynda’s boutique shop so that she can offer her beautiful products for others to enjoy.
